Along Came Jones
Grenache but not as you know it! From our Lledoner Pelut aka Hairy Grenache vineyard here just outside the village of Tuchan in the lieu-dit Rebouls. It took me a couple of vintages to perfect the art of making wine from this unusual grape variety. But now I think we’ve cracked it and make a lovely, smooth, fruity style of wine.
Silky, fruity and concentrated. Pure strawberries and raspberries with hints of vanilla. It has the typical grenache characteristics: mineral and bursting with red fruits. While it is on the lighter side compared to my bigger, bolder reds, it still have to typical spiciness of a red from Tuchan. Drink slightly chilled on a summer's evening, as a n aperitif or with lighter dishes.
